Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to monitor, maintain, and optimize our network infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations, high availability, and system reliability. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in configuring and troubleshooting network devices, implementing security measures, and supporting network performance. This role will involve network design, troubleshooting, maintenance, and collaboration with vendors to resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities:
•Monitor all active network equipment to ensure seamless operations, availability, and reliability.
•Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, implement security measures, and optimize network performance proactively.
•Perform network maintenance and upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
•Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., Routers, Switches, IP addresses, VLANs, routing protocols, MPLS, VPN, QOS).
•Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
•Provide Level 2 support to diagnose and resolve network issues, analyze network logs, and implement solutions.
•Work within established configuration and change management policies.
•Assist in network design and implementation.
•Troubleshoot issues with network deployment and identify potential failures, recommending solutions.
•Collaborate with vendors and other IT personnel to resolve problems.
•Update the knowledge base with known errors and solutions.
Required Qualifications:
•Proven experience in a network administrator role.
•Hands-on experience with networking, routing, and switching.
•Excellent knowledge of SD WAN, LAN segmentation, Cisco Switches, Wireless Access Points, Wireless Controllers, Routers, and Riverbed Bandwidth Optimizers.
•Strong understanding of networking protocols (IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF) and network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS).
•Solid understanding of LAN/WAN design, routing protocols, and the OSI or TCP/IP model.
•Experience with Internet VPNs, remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
•Expertise in monitoring network diagnostics and using network analytics tools.
•Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently.
•Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science or a related field.
•Professional certification (e.g., CCNA or CCDA).
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Willingness to work flexible 24x7 shifts.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Advanced certifications in networking (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) are a plus.
•Experience with network security tools and best practices.
