StretchLab is a boutique fitness and wellness studio seeking dynamic personal trainers, physical therapy assistants, massage therapists, chiropractors and students, and dance/yoga/Pilates instructors, etc., to join our growing team in a brand new studio, the first of its kind in this area of Vancouver. POSITION: FLEXOLOGIST®

As a Flexologist®, you'll be instrumental in providing an exceptional professional stretch experience to our clients. Through personalized one-on-one stretching sessions, you'll not only assist individuals in enhancing their flexibility and freedom of movement but also establish meaningful connections to support them in achieving their wellness and fitness objectives.

COMPENSATION:

Hourly. Range is $17 to $26, depending on experience, credentials, stretch sessions rendered.

WELLNESS CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, Athletic/Sports Science, Human Biomechanics, Human Anatomy/Movement, Physiology, or related field

OR

Certification in Physical Therapy/Assistant, fitness, personal training, athletic training, or other related bodywork certifications (ACE, NASM, ISSA, ACSM, NSCA, etc.)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver one-on-one assisted stretch sessions

Encourage and motivate clients throughout stretch sessions

Build StretchLab membership base and retain current clientele

Ensure safety of clients regarding proper stretch techniques and enforce StretchLab policies and safety rules

Keep detailed notes on member limitations, needs, progress, etc.

Handle member concerns when applicable

Assist sales associates and Sales Manager with studio tour and sales as needed

Maintain strong social media presence to client membership and retention

Clean and maintain all equipment in order to ensure it is available for client use at any given time

Must be available and willing to be certified in our Flexologist Training Program. 60 hours of training that includes online courses, travel for a 2 days for in-person practicum and additional hands-on practice requirement.

Attend regular meetings and commit to ongoing education

QUALIFICATIONS:

Love of boutique fitness environment is a must – passion for stretching, mobility, and flexibility

Preferred background:

Physical Therapy Assistants or Physical Therapy graduate students

Fitness Trainer

Personal or Athletic Trainer Sports or Chiropractic Medicine

Pilates or Yoga Instructor

Massage Therapist

Strength and Conditioning Coach

Corrective Exercise Specialist- Dance Instructor

Fitness or wellness industry certification required with a base in anatomy.

Experience working in a fitness/health environment where you are providing hands-on training with client

Ability to create a positive environment that welcomes all people

Fantastic communication skills and exudes empathy

Must love connecting with people and have passion for helping them achieve goals

Must have a professional work ethic, be reliable and adhere to our attendance policies

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to perform all essential physical aspects of the position which may include standing, sitting, running, walking, jumping, squatting, bending, and reaching. As well as pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs at a time.
