At Flock Freight, we're on a mission to completely change the way freight moves, and we're in search of a motivated and versatile Manager of Talent Acquisition & People Development to be a pivotal force in this journey. As an essential member of our People team, you will own the recruitment process from start to finish and ensure that Flockers are onboarded and have the training they need throughout their careers. Your mission is to oversee a small but mighty team and is ideal for a hands-on professional who excels in both leadership and individual contributor tasks. A successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing team performance, driving project success, and contributing directly to key initiatives in recruiting and people development.

Your Impact:
Lead the small but mighty recruiting and learning & development team, ensuring effective talent acquisition and continuous employee growth throughout the firm. Step in personally to help recruit top talent or conduct training sessions. Partner with department leadership to understand their hiring and learning needs and develop a comprehensive strategy that supports our growth goals while ensuring alignment with our values and culture. Lead our data and reporting efforts, establishing and tracking key recruiting metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement in our recruiting and learning & development team. Use data to make changes to processes that will allow us to move more quickly and efficiently Effectively manage our ATS (Greenhouse) and LMS (Absorb), ensuring a smooth transition for candidates through the interview and hiring stages to onboarding and continuous growth. Build and maintain trust through high-level credibility, integrity, and effective communication with managers, team members, candidates, and vendors. Innovate and expand upon existing recruitment and training strategies to cultivate a strong talent pipeline and grow our current team's skills. What You Bring to the Table:
A passion for creating a fun and engaging employee experience. At least 6+ years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, focusing on full-time, highly-skilled roles, in the logistics industry. At least 2+ years of experience in learning & development from onboarding to upskilling. At least 1 year of experience at Brokerage in either a recruiting capacity or as a carrier or customer representative. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and third-party vendors. A sense of humor and a positive attitude! SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) is a plus Previous leadership experience Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems and Learning Management Systems. The expected range for this position is $105,000 - $140,000 per year. This range reflects typical earning potential in this role. When determining an offer, we take into account a variety of factors that are important in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill sets; experience and tenure; education and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate is based on market data. Salary bands may, in some circumstances, be adjusted to a different geographic area depending on the candidate's position and location.
In addition to salary, full-time employees are also eligible for an equity package and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Flock Freight. Our policy is that we target candidates local to one of Flock Freight's headquarters locations (San Diego and Chicago) and ask that employees work in-office 3 days a week.
