Paid time off. Addlestone Hebrew Academy is recruiting an experienced fundraising professional to join the team. The individual will work collaboratively with the Head of School, Associate Director of Development and Board of Directors to build and maintain a robust development program that works with major donors, events, industry partners, and corporate and community foundations. The individual will maintain strong relationships with existing donors, seek to grow their investment, while at the same time expand the base of support. This individual will provide strategic leadership in the development of philanthropic goals, strategies and priorities for Addlestone Hebrew Academy. The ideal candidate will enjoy being proactive, self-directed, and handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously. JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES The Director of Development will play a key role in advancing the fundraising efforts at Addlestone Hebrew Academy. This individual should possess a passion for the school community and its mission. Broad responsibilities include designing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies, cultivating donor relationships, and ensuring the sustainability and growth of our school. Collaborate with the Head of School, Associate Director of Development, and Board of Directors to develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with the school’s goals and mission; Create a strategic plan for a multi-faceted fundraising approach that incorporates major gifts, corporate partnerships, events, and grassroots giving; Manage the planning, organization, and implementation of fundraising activities, including annual giving and capital campaigns, meetings, stakeholder events, direct mail, cultivation visits, solicitation visits, etc.; Identify potential donors, and develop strategies for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship across all individuals, organizations, and foundations; Establish and implement a comprehensive stewardship plan; Benchmark programming and performance among peer and aspirational peer centers; Meet or exceed an annual fundraising goal and grow year-over-year; Establish and manage a department budget in collaboration with the Head of School; Collaborate with local and regional partners to identify key strategic opportunities; Ensure the maintenance of the school’s donor database including accurate donor records, donor communication, and other related areas; Develop strong relationships with Addlestone Board members and keep them informed of developments in fundraising, and resources necessary to ensure effective execution of the school’s fundraising plan; Create an alumni giving program, “Shorashim”, that engages, supports, and creates ongoing value for our graduates; Develop and submit grant proposals and reports; Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to ensure marketing materials meet marketing guidelines and effectively highlight Addlestone’s values and mission; Write and prepare materials needed for development-related communications, including newsletters, e-mails, appeals, campaign materials, and the school website; Represent Addlestone Hebrew Academy with key external audiences at various events, conferences, and meetings. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Five or more years of fundraising experience in non-profit or comparable business organization; Bachelor's Degree, at minimum. Masters degree or higher preferred; Experience in working with high net worth individuals; Comprehensive knowledge of fundraising strategies; Superior persuasive oral and written communication skills; Skilled in relationship development with donors, community leaders, clergy and colleagues; Knowledge of and experience with a CRM database; Highly organized, detail-oriented, and strategic in project and event management; Action-oriented, with a desire and ability to prioritize multiple projects and meeting deadlines simultaneously.
