In addition to the production of precast concrete, Metromont provides out customers with complementary design and engineering, hauling, erection and field services to support their full construction needs. Across the eastern seaboard, the southeast, and even as far west as Arizona, our customers rely on us to provide innovative precast solutions and the best quality for their parking structures, data centers, multifamily housing, office buildings, warehouses, schools and stadiums. The overall responsibilities of a Maintenance Mechanic include:
Operate equipment and tools as needed to perform workPerform maintenance and installations on a variety of equipment, buildings and systemsPerform preventative maintenance on all equipment as neededElectrical and mechanical troubleshootingDetect and report any unusual conditions or major maintenance needs to proper supervisorRepair off-road heavy equipment (if applicable)Work with overhead cranesImplement cost-saving maintenance programsAdhere to environmental and stormwater pollution prevention policiesHousekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and orderlyMedical, Rx, Dental, Vision Insurance, Telehealth, and Health Savings Account available on your first day of employment~ 7 paid holidays~ Perception and visual abilities must be goodUnderstanding of chemical safetyKnowledge of electrical (up to 480 volts 3 phase)Experience in repair of pneumatic hand tools and concrete vibrators preferredIntermediate reading, writing and math skillsTrade or technical school certification or 2-5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience preferred~1-2 years hands-on maintenance experience
