What’s involved in this role:
The Maintenance Technician II performs routine and break down maintenance on processing and packaging equipment and is responsible for keeping the plant running and in compliance with all rules and regulations by using safe methods of equipment repair/upkeep. The Maintenance Technician II performs repairs as needed by the department, troubleshoots processes, and assists with machine set ups and rebuilds as needed.
For some locations (Little Chute and Weyauwega only), this position may manage and administer the preventive maintenance program.
Rate of Pay: $34.27 HourlySchedule: Third shift/NIGHTS (2-2-3 schedule, 6p-6am)
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEffectively communicate with crew from previous and current shifts.Work closely with production Supervisors, line leaders and production crews to answer questions and receive as much information as possible to perform the work successfully.Efficiently perform regular and preventative maintenance related to the plant, equipment, and grounds in compliance with standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, and safety policies as enforced by OSHA.Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment during the packaging/production process as needed.Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.Effectively update and install equipment.Work closely with production to minimize downtime while maintaining quality.Maintain a working knowledge of all plant area processes.Accurately read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.Complete and update work orders using in-house systems. (Little Chute & Weyauwega only)
Other Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform work accurately, reliably, thoroughly, timely, and within safety guidelines.Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.Safety ProtocolStop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.Correct or report any observed safety hazards.Support safety policies and programs.

What You Need to Join Our TeamEducation RequiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.Technical school coursework/Degree in boiler, welding, electrical, HVAC maintenance preferred.Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Experience RequiredMinimum two (2) years of maintenance/repair experience in a manufacturing environment required.Mechanical and electrical aptitude required.

Our Little Chute, WI, plant is home to about 95 employees. This facility is a top manufacturer of IQF sticks that are supplied to the appetizer industry. Next to the plant is our well-known Simon’s Specialty Cheese store, which has about 20 employees. Simon’s is a Wisconsin-themed store, with everything from meats and cheese to clothing and craft spirits.Agropur’s US operations produce 1 billion pounds of quality, award-winning cheese each year.
