Job Summary:

The Pediatric Hospitalist will serve as a Full Time Advanced Practice Provider to provide care to inpatients within Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital. This position will assist the inpatient teams in caring for patients admitted to the Pediatric Hospitalist services.

Golisano Children’s Hospital serves a 22-county region providing a complete range of health care services for children from birth to 19 years.

An APP Pediatric Hospitalist will be Responsible for:

Providing expert level Clinical Care & Coordination of Care via a full range of services that will improve the quality of patient care assessing & evaluating patients.

Ordering appropriate laboratory testing & diagnostic studies.

Arranging for referrals, testing, consultation & therapeutic services.

Maintaining outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians & all members of the health care team.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required.

Current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required.

NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire).

CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Inpatient and pediatric experience preferred.

Work Days:

12 Hour Shifts, Varies
