Overview:
The Unistel Business Developer is responsible to grow new spice packaging and light manufacturing opportunities for Unistel LLC. Acts as a company representative in dress, demeanor, and communication, exploring the potential for growth with regards to current lines of business and expansion possibilities with regards to targeted businesses. Responsible for outreach efforts including presentations, developing and receiving quotes and business proposals, feasibility studies, geographic studies, and meetings with prospective clients.
Responsibilities:
Develops key relationships with businesses to gain more opportunities for business contracts. Conducts market analysis on a daily and weekly basis. Visits local, regional, and national businesses to promote Unistel product lines.
Develops and maintains key relationships with vendors to expand Unistel business lines.
Secures memberships and actively participates in trade shows strengthen Unistel brand and mission
Produce and review daily reports on product lines, market trends, pricing increases or decreases, with recommendations for actions.
Participate in marketing events including meetings, presentations, seminars, trade shows, telemarketing, phone conferences, and regional conference/networking events.
Coordinates with Unistel staff for quotes in a timely fashion.
Spends a minimum of 15 work days per month conducting customer visits and on-site presentations with potential customers.
Provides weekly updates on sales activities to the Director of Unistel Operations
Participates in the product development meetings to discuss opportunities sought with the Unistel team.
Ability to generate new business sales to align with budget expectations
Update business development tracking tool on an on-going basis to track progression.
Perform all other duties relevant to the position as requested.
Essential Academic and Experience Requirements:
Five years’ sales experience, preferably with a strong knowledge of promoting spices, pasta, and light manufacturing.
Two year college degree, Four year degree preferred.
Telephone proficiency (strong telephone sales and communication skills)
Ability to prospect and canvas for new business, both with new and existing accounts.
Ability to do market analysis of current and new product opportunities.
Ability to work independently
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Must meet CDS Life Transitions Vehicle Operator Requirements.
Maintain all required certifications/training by State regulations and CDS Life Transitions policy
All experience and education requirements, except when required by federal, state, or local laws or requirements, may be waived at the discretion of management with the approval of the Program Vice President in collaboration with Human Resources
