Job Summary:
The Sr. Manager, Technical Accounting is responsible for researching all complex accounting transactions, documenting the application of new accounting standards, providing guidance for general accounting team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify, research, and document the Company's technical accounting transactions; work proactively with external auditors to drive timely closure of technical accounting mattersServe as a subject matter expert on US GAAP and reporting requirementsConduct technical accounting research on complex transactions and new accounting pronouncementsPrepare and document accounting policy positions, procedures and control environment and communicate positions to the broader Finance and Accounting teamsEvaluate business transactions for proper U.S. GAAP accounting treatment, including accounting and disclosure recommendations and prepare technical memorandums for significant and/or non-routine transactionsAssisting with financial due diligence and integration of M&A transactions as neededReview accounting transactions, provide guidance on various accounting matters such as stock-based compensation, goodwill, investments, debt, R&D expense, and other non-routine transactions.Assist with month-end close and financial statement review.Ad hoc projects, analysis and reporting as required by managementQualifications:
Excellent management skills and ability to build support across functionsBachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field10+ years of working experience with at least 5+ years public accounting experienceThorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP, strong technical writing skills and experience in the implementation and handling of complex U.S. GAAP accounting matters with proven ability to research and clearly articulate and document complex technical accounting issuesAbility to set and keep deadlines at a fast pace while still maintaining high-quality workOutstanding organizational and project management skills with extensive experience managing multiple complex assignments simultaneouslyHigh level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary informationPossess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner
Salary Range
$140,000 - $200,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
