TravelAbout the PositionPosition / Specialty: Multimodality Tech (X-Ray & CT)Performs CT scan and radiographic exams. Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas as directed, according to established practices and procedures. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.Shift: Will work Thurs-Sat, 3x12s, 7p-7:30a, with on call rotation among staffIs on-call REQ? Yes, on call rotation among staff. If shifts are not filled when traveler is on call, then weekend work may be required.
Required/PreferredYears of experience REQ: One year of experience as a registered Radiological Technologist and Computed TomographyFirst-timers accepted: YesNational Certs REQ: ARRT (R) (CT), SCRQSA (R) (CT), CPR, BLSMust have satisfactorily completed an AMA approved school of radiological technology and be registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists and licensed by SC Radiation Quality Standards Association. Certification of CPR required. American Heart Association (AHA)Radiation Badge REQ: Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelersBLS REQ: Yes
MiscellaneousLocal Radius: 60 milesLocals Accepted: Locals Accepted: Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less the posted bill rateRTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needsGuaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.Attendance Policy: MUSC does have an attendance policy for travelers. If more than two shifts per 13-week contract are missed without medical documentation or reasonable explanation subject to MUSC discretion, contract will be reviewed for cancellation.
