We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Product Marketing Manager to join our North America Distribution Marketing Team in Investments. This is a hybrid role located in (New York City, NY).
As a Product Marketing Manager, you will work closely with the SMEs across the investment firms, Product Strategy, Sales, and the Persona and Channel Marketing teams. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Lead the creation of timely market and portfolio content to commercialize BNY’s investments products (from traditional to alternative investments across multiple wrappers, including model portfolios) with financial intermediaries
Understand competitive landscape and identify products’ unique value proposition in collaboration with Product Strategy, investment firms and Sales to create uniform and compelling messaging to use consistently
Be adept at writing clearly and possess a creative edge and eye for design to create punchy, impactful content for print, events, digital, web and social
Develop deep understanding of partner firms and platforms with the goal of providing input and ideas on marketing plans
Understand capital markets and identify industry, advisor and investor trends to create a differentiated BNY experience for clients and drive acquisition / retention
Work closely with Persona & Channel Marketing and other internal stakeholders (SEO, social media) to identify the best marketing strategies for each channel and best sequence for both lead and sales generation
Listen to, understand and evaluate input from stakeholders, including Persona and Channel Marketing, Sales, Strategic Accounts, Product Strategy, the Investment Institute, investment firms, Compliance and other areas
Own the content; ensure Sales is familiar with content and can easily access. Assess content regularly to optimize and ensure alignment with priorities
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, mass communications, or any related field or the equivalent of work experience required
At least 5+ years of experience in a marketing or investment sales role
Subject matter expertise in alternatives and/or model portfolios is preferable
Proactive, self-starter with ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple projects across multiple stakeholders simultaneously, in a deadline-driven environment
Effective communication and interpersonal skills and ability to present to and influence leadership and senior investment professionals
Results driven, with ability to solve complex problems and make informed decisions
Ability to make the complex simple, be succinct, and relate concepts with visuals
Strong project management skills, detail oriented and intellectually curious
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong experience in PowerPoint is a must and working knowledge of Excel

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $66,000 and $150,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
