Clinical Educator Nursing
to join our
Pediatric Cardiac ICU (PCICU) team . This role is
full-time, M-F . Sign-on Bonus & relocation assistance eligible.
The PCICU Clinical Educator will thrive in a 12-bed state-of-the-art unit and will assist in overseeing growth of the staff, unit, and the pediatric ECMO and Pulmonary Hypertension programs. The time is now to use your comprehensive clinical expertise to be an influential leader as the hospital expands our Pediatric Congenital Heart program!

Responsibilities:Utilizes system strategies and tools to assess the competency of new nursing staff members while focusing on quality of care and patient safety goals.Integrates theoretical knowledge, evidence-based principles and clinical nursing expertise into educational experiences for both new and experienced team members.Prepares annual self-development plans, sets professional goals and seek opportunities for achieving them.Contributes to quality and safety initiatives across the organization.Requirements:
Hours :
full-time, M-F
(regular office hours, with some flexibility as needed based on department needs)Location : Inova Fairfax Medical CampusEducation : Master's Degree in Nursing, HealthCare, Education and/or other relevant fieldExperience : 2 years of progressive experience in nursing in designated specialty; at least 3 months of experience serving as preceptorCertification : BLS from the American Heart Association; Specialty Certification in area related to unit's clinical scope within one year of hire; Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
