Position Overview

The Advancement Associate, Database & Operations position is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, this position offers a collaborative environment working alongside a skilled and fun team of development professionals. The role primarily focuses on managing constituent data and includes responsibilities in research, prospect identification, gift processing, and donor stewardship. In addition, the Advancement Associate plays a vital role in supporting various functions of the Advancement team, including event planning, parent and alumni relations, communications, and Annual Fund activities.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Director of Advancement to establish and maintain a data management strategy that supports fundraising, donor stewardship, and engagement efforts.Ensure data accuracy and consistency in donor records within the database.Oversee gift entry and acknowledgment processes to ensure timely and precise recording and donor communication.Generate fundraising reports, donor lists, and queries to support development objectives.Develop and maintain procedures for database and gift processing, ensuring efficiency and alignment with best practices.Manage Raiser's Edge database operations, including integration with other software (e.g., MaxGiving, Double the Donation).Update and maintain donor records annually and as needed throughout the year.Design and produce accurate reports, lists, and communications for mailings, newsletters, events, and other outreach efforts.Support gift officers by updating tracking portfoliosAdminister pledge reminders and update online giving pages with the development team.Work closely with the Business Office to support audits, monthly reconciliations, and other financial processes.Create and update standard operating procedures for development functions.Conduct ongoing analysis of fundraising and research software to enhance efficiency.Perform prospect research and coordinate technology platform updates for the department.Lead and train team members in the use of research and database tools.Manage annual donor lists for reporting purposes.Prepare donor lists and assignments for volunteers.Complete additional tasks as assigned to support the Advancement team's goals.Other duties as assignedQualifications

Bachelor's Degree required.Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, preferably in development or fundraising.Experience with Raiser's Edge or other database management software.Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.Ability to excel in a fast-paced, adaptable, and team-oriented environment.Availability for occasional night and weekend events.Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.Strong strategic thinking skills and a positive, professional demeanor.Discretion in handling sensitive information.Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.This position is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong data management skills, looking to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative and dynamic setting, contributing to a range of advancement activities.

Hourly rate for this position is $38.00 - $45.50
