Position Purpose:

Directs, standardizes and coordinates pharmacy services for MercyOne Northeast Iowa. Provides input to CPO relative to the strategic direction of services and collaborates with medical staff leadership to support the strategic direction and clinical systems and processes to ensure appropriate patient care. Maintains primary responsibility for the financial performance, quality improvement/customer focus, and human resource support for the pharmacy services. Maintains front line responsibility for inpatient pharmacy. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne.

What you will Do:

Supports the strategic direction of Pharmacy Services over Northeast Iowa (Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Oelwein, Jesup).

Maintain services to Joint Commission standards.

Collaborates with medical staff leadership to support strategic direction, clinical systems and processes that ensure appropriate patient care.

Maintains accurate, current charge and billing processes

CQI

Communication/ leadership.

Team Development.

Budgeting

Adheres to all safety, infection control and employee health policies and procedures.

Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.

Minimum Qualifications:

Pharm.D. or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy with comparable clinical experience. Minimum of 5 years pharmacy experience in a progressively more responsible managerial position. Experience across a broad scope of pharmacy practice preferred.

Eligible for or maintains current Iowa pharmacy license. If driving, valid Iowa license with current auto insurance. Mandatory Reporter.
