Position Summary
The Program Administrator will be responsible for providing high-quality event planning and operational support to the Interactive Telecommunications Program/ Interactive Media Arts (ITP/IMA) department. Coordinate all aspects of in-person, hybrid, and virtual events from concept to brief, ideation, and event execution. Create and manage the social media presence for the department; create web and social media content for a wide range of internal / external communications for BFA, MA and MPS programs. Manage and deliver a variety of student services, including advisement, admissions and recruitment. May include travel.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree
Required Experience:
3+ years experience in academic administration or student services, student advisement and developing events.
Preferred Experience:
3+ years Prior experience in an arts or academic environment.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent written, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including advising students and resolving problems. Software knowledge and creativity for text, graphic design, audio/video, web/social media (Adobe Creative Suite proficiency—Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator). Proficiency and agility with Web content platforms as well as social media tools such as Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Mailchimp
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Exemplary interpersonal skills and presentation skills. Skills in video editing (Premiere, Final Cut, or comparable) and/or livestream technologies.Working knowledge of Student Information System (SIS).
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $82,500.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
