The Executive Director oversees, develops, organizes, implements and directs the day-to-day functions and efficient operations of the community, in accordance with all federal, state, local and licensing regulations, and all company policies and procedures. This role also ensures the highest quality of care for residents, while maintaining the community’s financial stability, and creating a harmonious working environment for all associates.
Compensation
Starting at $107,500/yr DOE
What you'll do
Provide direct and indirect supervision of the community operation along with training, coaching, counseling, and performance evaluations of all staff members.
Consult with department directors on development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations and legal requirements governing the community and all company policies and procedures.
Collaborate with the Community Relations Director to promote sales and market the property within the local community by implementing referral and other programs, which are intended to reach full resident occupancy goals of the community.
Ensure that the nursing services provided meet the needs of the residents in accordance to the developed service plans, and the service plans meet the required state codes and company policies.
Ensure that census expectations are met and that the resident admission process documentation is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with established policy and procedure.
Oversee the recruitment and retention of qualified staff throughout the community, making sure background checks, reference checks and licenses are cleared before the employee is released to work on the floor.
Motivate employees through staff appreciation, recognition, and incentive programs.
Promote positive employee relations, address concerns timely and resolve grievances as quickly as reasonably possible.
Oversee the community budget, providing guidance and training to department heads on the maintenance of the overall community budget.
Monitor operations of the community on a regular basis and prepare quality review audits and monthly variance reports.
Perform other duties as assigned and needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, nursing, or human services, or preferred or combination of education and experience supervising others in a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality environment.
Current state/federal/local required certification or license to manage a community.
First Aid Certification required.
Background clearances as required by government regulations.
Minimum eight to ten years of experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or related industry.
Minimum five years of experience functioning in a leadership role at senior living operation is required.
Patience and compassion when dealing with others, especially those who are sick, injured, elderly, or from different backgrounds.
Flexibility to work when needed, especially evenings, weekends, or early mornings.
Willingness to adhere to and enforce all safety policies and procedures.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
May require prolonged periods of standing, moving and bending.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
