Workday Developer

Summary:
This project will replace many of the financial systems currently residing on the Iowa DOT's mainframe platform including accounting, inventory procurement, etc. with a cloud-based ERP solution called Workday. To leverage the capabilities of Workday, a new ERP system, Iowa DOT is implementing, streamlining and re-engineering business processes based on best practices while continuing to meet state and federal requirements. Integrations will be created to exchange data with existing developed in internal house systems, vendor applications, and other state entity external systems
Project Details:Identify and analyze business needs/touchpoints and requirements across business assets, supplier accounts, procurement and projects.Work with customer to convert legacy data into Workday including business assets and budgets.Confer with other business and technical personnel to resolve problems of intent, inaccuracy, or feasibility of computer processing.Work with affected personnel to determine if modifications or enhancements are accurate and necessary.Leverage written and verbal communication skills to understand business process and programming solutions as directed by ERP business and technical stakeholders.Document progress and/or issues related to work tasks.Able to make ERP best practice recommendations based on past work.May coordinate activities of Developers.Job Experience:
Proven record of accomplishment of hands-on ERP technical design and code work within large complex systems.Demonstrate technical expertise integrating a variety of diverse ERP technical environments (Workday Financials) and cross-platform technologies.Able to work independently and in a team environment.
