POSITION SUMMARY

Do you have previous Food & Beverage management experience? Does the thought of working at the top of a world-class ski mountain with Rocky Mountain views excite you? We are looking for a few exceptional service-minded people to join our team as a Restaurant Manager. Successful candidates will have at least two (2) years of supervisory and operations experience in a casual dining atmosphere, must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

ESSENTIAL DUTIESOversee all phases of outlet operations; understand and ensure compliance with all company policies & procedures and regulatory requirementsOversee all HR issues for FOH staffOversee all staffing/scheduling requirements for outletCreate weekly labor/revenue forecastsManage all staff payroll proceduresMaintain all beverage levels and manage orderingImplement training program of service standards for all FOH serversImplement training program for all beverage serversPerform inventory of all alcohol productsClosely monitor guests dining experienceMaintain a strong presence on the floorDevelop and implement creative strategies to increase revenues and average checksMaintain impeccable cleanliness standardsDevelop daily shift meetings and strategiesClosely monitor opening and closing proceduresHire, train and motivate front of house service teamInspect buffet for full attractive product and qualityMake table visits to solicit guest feedback & recognize patronageKnow and enforce policies and proceduresReconcile daily sales, compile reports, receipts and cash depositMonitor and document job performance of service staffParticipate in weekly manager meetingsEnsure understanding and compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirementsOther duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSMust be minimum 18 years of ageWorks in all areas of building, office, indoors with long periods of standing, walking, occasional liftingMust be lift 35 lbs and push and pull heavy items on a cartThis position may include working around heat and cold in the kitchenMust communicate clearly in English, both written and verbalMust have a valid driver's license and meet insurability standardsOne year of casual service dining room supervision experience requiredMust have Microsoft Office proficiency to include Excel, Word and OutlookMust have good administrative and organizational skillsThorough understanding of restaurant operations and management techniquesComputer literacy including POS system competency and Time Keeping competency, preferredFinancial responsibility, including able to read and understand budgets and P&L statements, preferredAdhere to all safety policiesProblem solving in a highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff, including management, subordinates and co-workersBe a consistent role model for company's Service Excellence standards

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSMust have a high school diploma or GED equivalent

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on a range of factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives.

Steamboat area base salary range: $58,000 - $73,000 per year
