About the Position:We are working with a full-service national law firm that has an immediate need for an energy attorney (2+ yrs) with regulatory experience to join its practice in Chicago as an associate. This multidisciplinary practice group has decades of experience representing developers, owners, and manufacturers across a range of industries with regulatory, litigation, and transactional energy and environmental matters.Highlights:· Ranked by Vault Law as one of the Best Law Firms in the Midwest· Associates at the firm are provided with many growth and mentoring opportunities· Recognized by the Minority Corporation Counsel Association for its ongoing DEI efforts· Firm has over 500 attorneys in over a dozen offices nationwideResponsibilities:· Represent clients in state regulatory proceedings, including rate cases, investigations, rulemakings, and retail energy approvals and compliance· Work on solar incentive programs, power purchase agreements, community solar contracts, and retail energy supply agreementsRequired Qualifications:· 2 or more years of experience in energy regulatory matters, including state regulatory proceedings and retail energy approvals· Previous experience with solar incentive programs, power purchase agreements, retail energy supply contracts, and/or community solar contracting is a plus· Strong academic credentials· Excellent research and writing skills
