Exceptional academic credentials and superior research and writing skills are required.Duties:Analyze and interpret complex insurance coverage issues related to professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance.Handle insurance coverage disputes and reinsurance matters, providing strategic legal advice and representation.Draft, review, and prepare various legal documents including pleadings, dispositive motions, and discovery requests.Manage all facets of the discovery process, including conducting depositions, preparing and responding to discovery motions, and handling motion practice.Represent clients in court appearances, trials, and other legal proceedings, ensuring effective advocacy and case management.Develop and maintain strong client relationships, managing cases independently from inception to resolution.Participate in business development activities to enhance client relationships and expand the firm’s insurance and reinsurance practice.Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to devise and implement effective case strategies.Stay updated on industry trends, legal developments, and changes in insurance and reinsurance laws.Requirements:2 to 6 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.Comprehensive understanding of insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance.Extensive experience in drafting legal documents, managing discovery, conducting depositions, and court appearances.Preferred experience in business development, client management, and independent case management.Excellent academic credentials with proven research and writing capabilities.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility to practice in California.Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Exceptional research, writing, and communication abilities.Proven ability to manage complex litigation cases and insurance coverage matters.Experience in business development and client management.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
