https://www.sarepta.com/join-usThe Importance of the RoleThe Gene Therapy CMO (Contract Manufacturing Organization) Relationship Manager will be responsible for overseeing the comprehensive relationship between Sarepta and external CMOs involved in gene therapy manufacturing. This role entails managing financial, business, contractual, and administrative aspects in collaboration with the Gene Therapy Manufacturing, Process Development and MS&T (Manufacturing Science & Technology) teams. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact ensuring smooth and efficient collaboration with our CMO partners.The Opportunity to Make a DifferenceRelationship Management:Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with external CMOs to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.Act as the primary point of contact for CMOs, facilitating clear and effective communication between internal and external stakeholders.Schedule and lead regular meetings with internal stakeholders as well as CMOs to discuss progress, address issues, and plan future activities.Monitor and communicate CMO performance against agreed-upon metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing feedback and implementing corrective actions as necessary.Financial Oversight:Manage all financial aspects of the relationship with CMOs, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking.Negotiate contracts and agreements with CMOs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value for the company.Conduct financial analyses and reporting to support decision-making and ensure alignment with the company's financial goals.Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and payment processes with CMOs.Business Management:Identify and assess new CMO partnerships, conducting due diligence and making recommendations based on strategic fit and capability.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of CMO partnerships.Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards in collaboration with Quality and Regulatory Affairs teams.Contractual Management:Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts and agreements with CMOs, ensuring clarity and alignment with company objectives.Monitor contract compliance and manage any amendments or modifications as needed.Address and resolve any contractual disputes or issues, escalating to senior management as necessary.Maintain detailed records of all contractual agreements and communications with CMOs.Dispute Resolution and Escalation:Escalate unresolved issues to senior management, providing comprehensive documentation and recommended actions.Develop and implement strategies to prevent future disputes and enhance overall collaboration with CMOs.More about YouBachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Business Administration, or a related discipline.Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a focus on gene therapy or biologics manufacturing.Proven experience in managing external partnerships, preferably with CMOs.Strong understanding of gene therapy manufacturing processes, technologies, and regulatory requirements.Excellent financial acumen and experience managing budgets, contracts, and financial analyses.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in dispute resolution and conflict management.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.Proficiency in project management tools and software.What Now?We're always looking for solution-oriented, critical thinkers.
