In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind our mission to nurture and grow relationships with individual donors. With a keen focus on site-based fundraising and system-wide initiatives, you will develop and oversee major and planned giving programs supporting 40+ communities and programs. Your efforts will directly contribute to increased revenue from individuals, enabling us to provide even more compassionate care and services to older adults.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Designs and implements a strategic, donor-centric approach to prospecting, qualifying, cultivating, and soliciting major, mid-level donors, and prospective planned giving donors. Manages donors to ensure their continued engagement and satisfaction with Ecumen.
Leads planned-giving initiatives to develop, cultivate, and secure transformative gifts that support Ecumen's mission across the entire system, specific communities, and endowment efforts.
Manages and solicits a gift portfolio of 75+ individuals, including major gifts and planned giving prospects for annual gifts, as well as bequests, IRA gifts, charitable trusts, and other forms of giving.
Oversees site-based and system-wide fundraising efforts for individual donors, including annual gifts, mid-level gifts, and major gifts, to enhance the reach and impact of Ecumen’s mission.
Develops a metrics dashboard that tracks and reports on major and planned giving including gift proposals, gift expectancies, donor contacts, and gifts received.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to create and execute innovative fundraising strategies.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or another related field
8+ years of related experience with individual giving at nonprofit organizations
Strong understanding of fundraising principles, implementation, and evaluation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, prospects, and team members
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Passion for Ecumen’s mission and a commitment to making a positive impact
Current valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance
15-20% travel to sites and locations, not including Shoreview Home Office
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree
Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential
Previous experience in the senior health care industry
Experience with Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge software or other donor specific software
Management experience
