This role requires substantial experience in litigation related to commercial real estate, distressed loans, and financial instruments, including debt and security instruments and creditor and lender liability. Proven courtroom experience, including taking and defending depositions, is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in complex financial services litigation, including cases involving commercial real estate, distressed loans, debt and security instruments, and creditor and lender liability.Manage all stages of litigation, including taking and defending depositions, preparing witnesses, and overseeing discovery processes.Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.Appear in court to present evidence, argue motions, and conduct trial proceedings.Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop and implement effective case strategies.Maintain organized case files and ensure adherence to court deadlines and procedural requirements.RequirementsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the California Bar.Minimum of 3 years of relevant litigation experience or substantial clerkship experience, with a focus on financial services, commercial real estate, and distressed loans.Demonstrated experience in taking and defending depositions and managing courtroom activities.Strong academic credentials and proven problem-solving and communication skills.SkillsExpertise in financial services litigation, including commercial real estate and distressed loan matters.Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.Proficiency in managing litigation tasks and courtroom procedures.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to handle complex cases and work effectively under pressure.Collaborative and team-oriented approach with a focus on client service and strategic case management.
