The Traffic team’s mission is to accelerate User-to-Roblox communication. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Traffic team, you will contribute to the evolution of our distributed platform supporting Roblox services for our millions of users. This is a highly cross-functional role where collaboration is key, with not only Networking teams but Infrastructure teams at large.You have:

4 years of experience developing network software in Python and Golang (C, Lua, Rust a plus).Strong knowledge of TCP, HTTP, DNS, TLS, and UDP protocols.Experience with Reverse Proxies (e.g. HAProxy, Envoy)Experience building DDoS/WAF Protection products is a plus.You will:

Design and build tools and systems to support our growing Edge infrastructure.Improve our Edge termination product to provide the best experience to our community.Collaborate with teams across groups to move company initiatives forward.Participate in the on-call rotation for our critical infrastructure.For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.Annual Salary Range

$189,110 — $233,840 USDRoles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).You’ll Love:
