Granite Seed Company is hiring a Seed Sales Specialist for our Lehi, Utah office.
The Seed Sales Specialist works in collaboration with the Executive Vice President NativeSeed Group Intermountain to serve customers purchasing native seed and erosion control products from the company.
Sales ActivitiesWork up bids and pricing under the guidance of Senior Sales Staff for seed and erosion control materials.Consult with customers and agencies on seed mix designsOver time, take on a book of business as determined by Senior Sales StaffTake customer calls and emails directly as needed and assist with pricing orders and consulting.Support Senior Sales Staff in the development and maintenance of special contractsAssist with developing and implementing competitive bidding proceduresHelp Senior Sales Staff and the admin team in executing and maintaining efficient order processing proceduresAssist the Senior Sales Staff in efforts associated with inventory managementProcess customer orders and follow through with warehouse manager on any specific needs of the customer
Marketing & Business DevelopmentAssist Senior Sales Staff in promoting the usage and benefits of native seed the market with key influencers in government agencies and NGOsHelp Senior Sales Staff promote the Company's ability to produce unique local ecotype seedWork closely with the Senior Sales Staff to develop a comprehensive marketing program including trade events, speaking engagements, marketing materials, etc.

Required Education/ExperienceKnowledge of native plants throughout the Great Basin and surrounding ecological areas of the Western US.Strong organizational and interpersonal skillsConsummate team player and customer service experienceStrong command of Microsoft OfficeA college degree in restoration science, range science, agronomy or related field is not required, but preferred
Required undergraduate/graduate degrees:Environmental Sciences & ManagementEcological Management & RestorationRangeland SciencesWildlife ConservationAgronomyPlant SciencesOther related degree
Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus but not required:Turf Industry (Golf courses, sod farms, Landscaping)Government agencies such as NRCS, BLM, USFS, Fish & Wildlife, etc.Commercial projects such as mine and landfill reclamation, wetlands restoration or wildlife conservation
Salary is $60k - $70k + Bonus potential per year, dependent on experience
