Position Description:
Banner Defense is in search of a Threat Systems Analyst to join our team! In this role you will get to provide threat signature development and modeling support to the Threat Modeling Center (TMC).
Responsibilities:
Coordinate with internal MDA and external stakeholders to determine threat needs for Integrated Master Test Plan events.
Coordinate with MDA/DEI and the Intel Production Centers to obtain intelligence assessments and reference data necessary to define and build threat models consisting of kinematic, RF, and IR models.
Evaluate intelligence data and provide technical reviews of associated Threat Model Requirements Documents produced by the prime contractor. Articulate change recommendations.
Provide verification and validation recommendations of prime contractor produced kinematic, RF, and IR models. Articulate change recommendations.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and the prime contractor in the development of event verification and validation documentation which compares all threat models to the latest intelligence assessments. Articulate change recommendations.
Recognize and understand shortfalls in threat data generation capability and how advances in technology can be used to improve threat representation, particularly in areas of ablation and radio frequency/electro optical/infrared signatures.
Work with the MDA Core Truth Models team to identify and evaluate software applications to support the emerging threat signature requirements.
Collaborate with other members of the MDA team to integrate efforts and meet M&S program objectives for MDA events and real-world activities.
Support TMC M&S threat software/tool development in support of integrated threat production capability (kinematic and signature threat data generation).
Represent the government and interface with contractors at technical interchanges. Assist other MDA organizations, the Intelligence Community, and warfighters to articulate threat data needs.
Investigate and recommend innovative technical approaches and process improvements to improve quality of the delivered threat products and to reduce schedule risk.
Required Skills/Experience:
Master's degree in STEM with 12+ years of experience in engineering for missile defense related programs OR a bachelor's degree and 20+ years of experience.
Creative thinking, problem solving, analytical thinking.
Ability to work with a diverse team of engineers with different perspectives and objectives.
Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to a non-technical audience.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, TEAMS).
Active Secret Clearance.
Travel required.
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
Understanding of kinematics, radar cross section, or infrared data and software that supports the production of threat stimulus data.
