Exciting Opportunity for a Project Engineer in Water Treatment and Industrial Construction!
We’re expanding and have an outstanding opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our dynamic Treatment and Industrial team. This role focuses on the construction and commissioning of wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), water reclamation facilities, and comprehensive treatment systems, with a significant emphasis on self-performing key construction activities.
About the Role
As a Project Engineer, you’ll be essential in planning, developing, coordinating, and managing on-site construction engineering activities for extensive projects. Your efforts will ensure projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance. A crucial part of your role will be to leverage our self-perform capabilities to enhance project control and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and distribute contract documents, addenda, field orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and RFPs (Requests for Proposals).
Review and control shop drawings and submittals for compliance with contract specifications.
Lead project quality control processes, including managing deviation reports, pre-pour inspections, and testing protocols.
Coordinate RFIs among architectural engineers, project owners, contractors, and subcontractors.
Assist in assembling proposals and preparing owner change order requests, including pricing for self-performed work.
Maintain “As-Built” drawings and prepare final close-out documentation.
Secure operations manuals, guarantees, and warranties; assist in the project close-out process.
Leverage self-perform capabilities to optimize project control, quality, and efficiency.
Qualifications
1-3 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater treatment plant construction (highly preferred).
BS degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Thorough understanding of construction industry practices, standards, and safety protocols.
Proficiency in database management (e.g., Microsoft Excel) and industry-specific software (e.g., Bluebeam).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
