Candidates will automatically be declined.**Only submit profile who can work schedule in posting and interested in the unit.We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to:Triage patients having procedures done in the Ambulatory Procedure Center. This includes pre/post procedure care, care coordination, organizing cases and caseload.Consistently provide non-clinical care for the patients with solid care coordination, clinical staffing only for urgent staffing needs.Support Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Colorectal Surgery Providers, through collaboration and triage to allow patients to have a well prepped procedure, a safe procedure, and a follow up plan of care.
Minimum Requirements:Facility Requirement:Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison

resume, *** portal and all onboarding documentation must have permanent address listed).Experience:Must be able to perform Moderate Sedation in procedure, and pre/post all levels of care including PACU/Phase I and Phase II recovery.Must have experience recent experience in recovering sedated GI and pulmonary procedures such as ERCP, EUS, EGD, Colonoscopy, endoscopy/Bronchoscopy (some patients have general anesthesia rather than moderate sedation)Traveler must have completed two years of experience within last 3 years.Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).Licensure and Certification:Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state.BLS and ACLS
must be certified through American Heart Association ONLYReferenceNeeds 2 references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only).TelemetryTraveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (not for clinic positions).
UW Health Recruitment will send instructions to traveler 2-3 weeks prior to start date.FloatingTravelers are the first to float.
The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs. During the traveler s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.Location: University Hospital, 600 Highland Ave, Madison, WI 53792Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation.

Shifts:40 hrs/week, Day/evening, 8 &10 hr shift, Monday - Friday, Rotating start times- between 0630-0900. On call requirements one weekday and weekend call every 4-5 weekends. **May be mandated to stay beyond scheduled shift for patient care needs.
