Nationally, thousands have benefitted from our support of research and programs to fight childhood cancer.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesApply engineering best practices in order to analyze, design, develop, deploy and support software solutions.Influence team members through lean agile leadership.Mentor on Software Craftsmanship and Quality Standards.Develop software using continuous Deployment and integration practices.Participate in an Agile implementation and maintenance of source control and release procedures.Participate in Code Reviews and feedback to the team.Mentor technical members of the team.Contribute to a collaborative work environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions.Identify data quality issues and their root causes.Propose fixes and design data audits.

QualificationsBachelor's Degree.6-8 years of professional experience.At least 6 years of professional software engineering, debugging, analysis, testing and software documentation experience.Advanced programming skills.Code Knowledge: Python, JVM (Java, Scala), Apache Spark, SQL.Experience with Agile methodologies/DevOps environment.Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.Strong understanding of Data Quality and Data Concepts.Strong understanding of Data Integration Patterns and Tooling including ELT/ETL, EII, Replication, Event Streaming and Virtualization to support batch and real-time data needs.Has or develops understanding of 4-6 subject areas/domains of data.Provides a Strong Agile Lean Servant-Leader Model.Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.Compensation Range:Pay Range - Start: $110,040.00Pay Range - End: $204,360.00Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment.Grow your career with a best-in-class company that puts our client’s interests at the center of all we do.
