We're looking for a Software Engineer III to solve complex software engineering problems supporting Nike's pursuit of delivering state of the art tools to our product developers and broader creation community. The candidate needs to be highly collaborative with peers, productive in a fast-paced development environment and have depth of native cloud software engineering experience.WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will be part of a team of engineers building software solutions for our partners in the Nike design community. You will help design, develop, operate, and integrate Nike and partner platforms and applications as we implement "API-First" solutions. You will also help drive technical priorities, define engineering best practices, collaborate with peers, and help translate business problems into technical solutions.WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will be a part of the larger Global Technology organization working on Nike's internal product creation tools and report to the team's Engineering Director. You will work day-to-day with a team of engineers, the team's Product Manager and Principal Engineers in the organization on software projects to achieve Nike's business objectives. You will also engage with other Global Technology functions and teams on organizational and technical goals.WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science or related technical subject area or equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years of hands-on industry software development experience.5+ years hands-on experience implementing and supporting modern software architectural principles and patterns (REST, domain-driven design, microservices, etc.)5+ years hands-on experience with distributed cloud systems tech (node.js, EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, or Google Cloud/Azure equivalents)Experience with front-end web application tech (JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, Vue, React/Redux)Experience with continuous deployment and automated testingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple peers and cross-functional partnersExperience developing, monitoring, and supporting highly available microservices/lambdas and applicationsIndustry experience in design, digital asset management and color science a plusNIKE, Inc. is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it.
