Overview
The Marketing Project Manager is primarily responsible for ensuring projects and campaigns run efficiently and that marketing vision is executed effectively to bolster brand affinity, drive demand, and grow our pipeline of carbon management clients. This individual will manage the development of major cross-functional projects and campaigns from conception to completion, working with creatives and marketers and their partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and are in line with brand standards.
There are three core skill areas to succeed in this role:
Project Management
– This person must be organized and self-disciplined enough to oversee the Marketing Team’s cross-functional workload and be accountable for driving the completion of each project within it.
Communication
– This person will be expected to collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholder teams to build consensus, problem-solve around roadblocks, and lead through ambiguity when necessary.
Creative empathy
– this person needs to have experience working with creative and content teams and understand the basic anatomy of creative production.
Responsibilities
Intake and triage all Marketing Team requests
Manage the Marketing Team’s Monday board, develop project timelines, and manage project budgets
Align with and effectively communicate priorities to stakeholders
Coordinate with marketing leads (e.g. Events Manager) to hold kickoff meetings and build detailed project plans for all major marketing projects and initiatives; track and manage the status of deliverables for the duration of the project
Monitor project progress and identify creative solutions to solve roadblocks
Translate/consolidate stakeholder feedback into actionable next steps for designers and marketers
Oversee the organization and management of Marketing Share drive and assets within it
Oversee the storage, organization, and socialization of our creative assets through the team’s DAM software
Manage our software tool usage and spend (Hubspot, Vimeo, iStock, Framer, Figma, etc)
Provide final oversight to make sure that all collateral receives requisite approvals
Track and report on the team’s time allocation to inform planning and staffing discussions
Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for the marketing team, as well as support planning and budgeting
Qualifications
Previous project management experience, including experience working specifically with design or creative teams.
Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
Strong understanding of project lifecycle, scope management, budgeting, and scheduling.
Ability to create and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
Experience with project management software such as Asana and Monday.com.
Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch) to effectively communicate with design teams.
Proficiency in using collaboration tools (e.g., Slack) and document-sharing platforms (e.g., Google Workspace)
Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, copywriters, developers, and marketing.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate complex design requirements into project language and vice versa.
Ability to maintain clear and proactive communication with stakeholders and clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
High attention to detail to ensure all project elements meet quality standards and client requirements.
Salary
$103,000-$126,000
