A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Telemetry nurse for a travel contract. The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIH and CA License.Job Requirements
2 full years of experience as a Telemetry nurseHold an active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS and CA LicenseAble to read & interpret all cardiac rhythms (Tele: Phillips)Must be able to handle a patient ratio of 1 to 4Floor specific orientation: 1-2 shifts w/ preceptorMust be able to work with common diagnosis/types of patients: Post pacer, hemodialysis, no cardiac/surgical patients, new onset afib, or RVR, stepdown from ICU, surgical patients, sepsis, etc.Schedule Information
Shifts are 12 hours from 7 to 7:30Weekend Requirement: 4 shifts out of 4 week scheduleBlock scheduling allowed if the needs of the unit are met, but not guaranteedUnit Specific Information
Unit: 4W TelemetryAverage patient ratio is 1 to 4Primary patient types: Post pacer, hemodialysis patients, and those with conditions such as new onset afib, RVR, sepsis, strokes, TBIAdditional Details
