Job Description

MAXISIQ is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer SME to be part of a dynamic team and provide support for a Sponsor's program. The Cybersecurity Engineer will target, assess, exploit, and report risks and vulnerabilities of information systems to provide senior decision makers with actionable data. Cybersecurity Engineers are responsible for IT security/vulnerability assessments and managing overall network security using network and security-related hardware and software. This position is a full-time opportunity in Chantilly, VA. Award expected in March 2025.

Primary ResponsibilitiesIdentify and define applicable security controls and responses for the projectReview responses, enter responses into the cyber risk management platform, and update risksIdentify common controls and draft common control language for the cyber risk management platformPerform security maintenance duties, such as performing analyses of vulnerabilities and providing recommended resolutionsMaintain awareness of system level changes, ensure proper patch levels, and upload cyclic scans to the appropriate repositoriesAchieve and maintain system accreditation, including providing guidance, plans, and evidence and maintaining documentationPerform regular reviews, such as audits, and review security test resultsParticipate in or lead technical exchange meetings and application review boards and document action items and resultsBrief management on statusQualifications

Required Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with Full Scope PolygraphPrior experience with programs of similar size and complexityExperience with the Sponsor and the Sponsor's missionBachelor's degree and 15+ years' experience.Demonstrated work experience in cyber security or related IT fieldDemonstrated experience performing complex technical tasks with minimal directionDemonstrated experience designing, testing, or implementing IT security architectureDemonstrated experience performing network security analysisDemonstrated experience developing risk management methodologiesDemonstrated experience analyzing test results to develop risk/threat mitigation plansDemonstrated experience communicating vulnerability results and risk posture to senior executivesDesired Qualifications

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)Experience with the Sponsor's entitlement management programsPMP, SAFe Agile Certification, AWS certification
