(Senior Marketing Manager, Science Education Events) We are seeking a strategic Senior Marketing Manager to build our brand and generate leads through our flagship platform, Science is Cool. This innovative program consists of high-profile, live-streamed virtual conferences that reach up to 18,000 educators per event. Hosted at prestigious venues including Disney's Epcot Resort, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the Smithsonian, these events establish our company as a thought leader in science education. Through exclusive sponsorship of these premium educational experiences, we build deep relationships with science educators and demonstrate our authentic understanding of their needs. The ideal candidate will understand how to balance creating genuine educational value with subtle but effective brand building. Success in this role means executing flawless virtual events that position our company as an authoritative voice in science education, leading to organic relationship development with K-12 and higher education institutions. Basic Information Location: Franklin, TN Schedule: Full-time Reports to: CEO Future Direct Reports: Design, Email Marketing, and additional team members Responsibilities Strategic Marketing Leadership (40%) Develop comprehensive strategies that establish our thought leadership in science education Create and track KPIs that measure both event engagement and relationship building metrics Design premium educational content that demonstrates our deep understanding of science education Build marketing campaigns that attract and engage science educators Cultivate long-term relationships with educational institutions Analyze event data to continuously improve engagement and brand affinity Work directly with CEO on brand positioning and growth strategies Event Production and Management (35%) Lead the planning and execution of Science is Cool virtual conferences Coordinate with prestigious venues like The Kennedy Center and Smithsonian Manage relationships with celebrity science influencers, including Neil deGrasse Tyson and Kari Byron Manage live-stream production for audiences of up to 18,000 attendees Oversee event logistics, technical requirements, and day-of execution Build and maintain relationships with high-profile venues and partners Ensure educational content aligns with our brand values and expertise Create engaging virtual experiences that establish authentic connections with educators Marketing Campaign Execution (25%) Direct paid advertising campaigns to drive qualified educator registration Manage targeted email marketing campaigns for year-round community engagement Oversee social media strategy to build thought leadership and community Create relationship nurturing strategies focused on long-term value Leverage HubSpot for event registration and relationship management Coordinate with design team on sophisticated brand communications Track and optimize campaign ROI across all channels Required Qualifications 5+ years of marketing experience with significant event management focus Proven experience managing large-scale virtual events (1000+ attendees) 2-3 years of advanced HubSpot expertise Strong track record of successful B2B marketing campaigns Experience with paid social advertising and lead generation Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and stakeholder relationships Excellence in both strategic planning and tactical execution Preferred Qualifications Experience in educational technology or K-12 market Background in science education or STEM fields Virtual event production expertise Experience managing high-profile venue relationships Live-streaming technical knowledge Marketing automation expertise Team leadership experience Technical Skills Virtual event platforms Live-streaming technology HubSpot (advanced level required) Google Ads Facebook Ads Manager Marketing analytics tools Project management software Event Management Competencies Large-scale virtual event production Venue and partner relationship management Live-stream coordination Technical production management Crisis management and problem-solving Budget management Vendor coordination Additional Skills Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities Excellent written and verbal communication Cool under pressure during live events Experience with educational market dynamics Ability to manage multiple stakeholders Strong attention to detail Creative problem-solving skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year Benefits: Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Experience: Marketing: 5 years (Required) HubSpot: 2 years (Required) B2B Marketing: 2 years (Required) Work Location: In person
