Assyst is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst for our client in Laurel, MD. The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for working closely with development teams to evaluate application requirements, develop testing strategies, and ensure that large, complex, or enterprise-wide IT projects undergo rigorous and effective testing. This role will include defining quality assurance metrics, providing technical leadership, and overseeing key aspects of the QA process.

Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance AnalystLocation: Laurel, MD (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)Duties and Responsibilities:

Collaborates with development teams to evaluate application requirements and create testing plans, strategies, and scenarios for system testing.Assists in developing and implementing QA testing strategies for large, complex, and/or enterprise-wide IT projects.Works with the Quality Assurance Manager and development teams to establish testing plans, standards, and procedures to satisfy project constraints.Ensures adequate product testing prior to implementation.Provides technical expertise and guidance to the QA team.Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.Provides training on QA processes and procedures to project teams.Educates business users on business requirements and user acceptance testing protocols.Works closely with user acceptance testers to conduct testing.Prepares and delivers presentations on IT QA to various departments and business users.Facilitates regular patching events for Windows, Linux, and other platforms as assigned.Develops and maintains status reports on project progress and metrics.Evaluates automated testing tools and processes, continuously seeking improvements.Monitors projects post-go-live to ensure production performance aligns with the tested solution.Ensures adherence to standards for testing, benchmarking, and change management.Works with or learns UFT automation tools to streamline testing processes.Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field from an accredited college or university.Public utility experience is preferred.Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).Experience with UC4 batch processing tool.Experience with Customer 2 Meter (C2M) and Workforce Management Systems.Advanced knowledge of testing strategies, design, and QA methods.Experience with ALM, UFT, and LoadRunner is a plus.In-depth understanding of system integration, automation testing, infrastructure patching, performance testing, and UAT testing.Knowledge of the full SDLC process and user methodologies.Proficiency in Web Focus, .NET, JAVA/J2EE, UNIX, and SQL.Knowledge of designing and building test automation processes.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server.Ability to test complex systems and web applications.Ability to document and track defects with clear descriptions and recommended fixes.Ability to meet deadlines and manage project scope and budgets.Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead testing efforts independently.
