SUMMARY OF POSITION We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Demolition & Remediation Director to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving growth in the Mid-Atlantic region and ensuring accurate project estimates. You will work alongside an existing team of in-house estimators to build quantity takeoffs for you and be the boots on the ground to attend site walks, and drive estimating reviews in order to achieve the right number. This is a Director level position and will report to the VP-Mid Atlantic. This is a very exciting role for someone with experience in demolition, abatement and remediation looking to expand their career with a robust team and strong regional backlog already in place. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, architects, and general contractors to identify project opportunities. Attend site visits to gain critical intel on how to bid demolition, abatement and remediation projects. Work with estimators in-house to view quantity takeoffs and provide insight to suggest the right crew size/production rates and sequence of tasks. Actively network and represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings. Communicate with prime contractor to ensure accurate understanding of project scope including all necessary bid items, actual bid dates, site walk information, pre-bid submittal requirements, and projected start date. Strong ability to analyze blueprints, specifications, site photos, and other documents to prepare time, material, equipment, labor, and disposal cost estimates to deliver high quality and well thought out proposals on time. Collaborate with Compliance to ensure proper regulations are followed and any potential vendors/subcontractors have been verified. Work closely with Project Management on handoffs for won jobs to ensure estimating methodology and all project knowledge is transferred appropriately to the operations team. QUALIFICATIONS 10+ years of experience in the demolition, abatement or remediation industry. Proven ability to assess crew size, equipment packages and project duration for multiple tasks (will be required to demonstrate in an interview). Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and word processing programs. Understanding of construction documents. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Must be able to occasionally attend industry related events in local area. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
