The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in litigation, with strong law-firm background handling pleadings, motions, discovery, and depositions. Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills are essential, and clerkship and court experience are a plus.Duties and Responsibilities:Draft and research pleadings and motions, including motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, and other key litigation documents.Manage discovery processes, including propounding and responding to written discovery and coordinating document production.Take and defend depositions, and prepare for trial.Argue motions in court and represent clients during legal proceedings.Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and case management.Conduct legal research and analysis on complex litigation issues.Provide effective legal counsel and representation in various litigation matters.Requirements:2+ years of experience in litigation, preferably within a law firm setting.Experience handling pleadings, motions, discovery, and depositions.Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.Clerkship and court experience are advantageous.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational and time management skills.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of Washington.Skills:Proficiency in drafting and researching litigation documents.Strong oral and written communication skills.Ability to handle complex litigation tasks including depositions and trial preparation.Detailed understanding of litigation processes and court procedures.Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Location:Seattle, WABenefits Offered:Competitive salary with bonus opportunities.Health insurance with an optional Health Savings Account (HSA).Long-term disability insurance.Dental insurance and vision care.Life insurance and Healthcare/Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts.Vacation (approximately three weeks per year) and sick leave (initially 80 hours per year for full-time employees).10 paid holidays each year.Employee Assistance Program.Additional voluntary benefits including accident insurance, additional life insurance, long-term care insurance, and pet insurance.Commuter and Transit programs available.
