Developing and operating across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific, Vantage has evolved data center design in innovative ways to deliver dramatic gains in reliability, efficiency and sustainability in flexible environments that can scale as quickly as the market demands.Position OverviewThis role can be based in any of our US locations: Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Santa Clara, CA; or Ashburn, VA, in alignment with our flexible work policy (3 days in, 2 days flexible).The Director Talent, Performance and Engagement, Global is a key leadership role at Vantage Data Centers, reporting to the VP, Learning and Development, Global. This position is responsible for overseeing the strategy and implementation of core global processes across North America, EMEA, and APAC regions. These processes include performance management, talent management (talent mapping and succession planning), DEI strategy and initiatives (known as JEDI at Vantage), our annual engagement survey, and employee recognition programs. The role is central to shaping the employee experience, driving initiatives that underpin our culture, guiding promotion and recognition practices, and crafting an environment that promotes diversity and inclusivity. This position plays a crucial part in developing and driving our global talent management strategy. Partnering with Talent Acquisition and People and Culture teams, this role will ensure we take a strategic and targeted approach to ensuring we have the right people, in the right roles, with the right capability to continue to successfully grow our business globally.Essential Job FunctionsCreate and implement global strategies for performance management, talent management, DEI (JEDI), employee engagement, and recognition programsLead the design and execution of the annual performance management cycle across all regionsLead all aspects of talent mapping and succession planning processes to ensure a robust leadership pipelineDrive the JEDI (DEI) strategy, fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment across all regionsManage the annual engagement survey process, including analysis and action planningDevelop and implement employee recognition programs that align with company values and goalsPartner with HR systems team to optimize the use of Workday modules for people processesLead and develop a team of talent partners to support planning, design, and implementation of initiativesCollaborate with global and local L&D partners to ensure effective upskilling of leaders and employees in delivering our core people processesOversee the development of senior, high promotion talent groupContribute to the overall global talent management strategy, aligning with business objectivesDutiesDesign and implement performance management processes that drive high performance and employee developmentLead the annual talent mapping and succession planning process, partnering effectively with regional People and Culture teams to successfully execute and upskill leadersCreate and maintain succession plans for key positions across the organizationDevelop and execute JEDI initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion at all levelsDeploy the annual global engagement survey and pulse surveys, analyzing results and working with leadership to develop action plansDesign and implement recognition programs that motivate and retain top talentCoordinate with regional People and Culture teams to ensure consistent implementation of global processesProvide thought leadership on talent management trends and best practicesManage the budget for global talent initiatives and programsConduct regular reporting on talent metrics and program efficiency to senior leadershipOversee the development of training materials related to talent and performance processes and initiativesRepresent the talent function in cross-functional projects and initiativesJob RequirementsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred10+ years of experience in talent management, with at least 5 years in a leadership roleProven track record in designing and implementing global talent management strategiesStrong understanding of DEI principles and experience leading DEI initiativesExperience with performance management systems and processesKnowledge of talent analytics and ability to derive insights from dataExcellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple complex initiativesStrong leadership skills with experience leading and developing teamsProficiency in HR information systems, particularly WorkdayExceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levelsExperience working in a global, multi-regional environmentStrategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plansChange management experience and ability to drive organizational transformationFamiliarity with the technology or data center industry is a plusProficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and ExcelPhysical Demands and Special RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
