Description:Sapient Logic is looking for a Senior Platform as a Service (PaaS) Engineer to join our growing team to support the installation, configuration, automation, and maintenance of a Navy PaaS environment consisting of components such as Openshift, Identity Management, Geospatial, and Data Processing services. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring robust, secure, and efficient configuration management of the Navy PaaS environment.Responsibilities:Install, configure, and maintain Navy’s PaaS suite, which includes Openshift, Keycloak, ArcGIS, Elastic Search, Kibana, Logstash, and Apache Nifi.Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) to ensure consistent and reliable server and application setups.Implement and manage container orchestration using OpenShift.Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.Implement and manage Kubernetes security policies, including RBAC and network policies.Monitor cluster health, performance, and resource utilization using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.Develop security and compliance protocols for configuration management, including regular updates and patches to mitigate vulnerabilities.Lead continuous improvement initiatives by recommending enhancements to current configuration management practices.Document all configuration management processes and ensure all team members are trained on the latest tools and techniques.Address trouble tickets submitted by PaaS customers.Communicate the status of the PaaS environment to stakeholders.Build automated scripts using Python or Ansible in support of ensuring efficient operation of the PaaS environment.Provision and configure VMware virtual machines with RHEL or Windows Server Operating Systems in support of Structured Integration Tests (SIT) events.Apply Group Policy Objects to servers being used in SIT events.Maintain integrity and traceability of configurations and environments through automated tools and systems.Coordinate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new software releases.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.10 years or more of Information Technology experience with at least 2 years focused on Kubernetes administration.Experience with container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Openshift, Rancher, Docker Swarm).Experience in the use of Ansible.Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) methodologies and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).Experience in the use of AWS.Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Bash.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.CompTIA Security+ certification.AWS Certification is preferred.Candidates must have an active Secret clearance.Job Type:
