Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Summary: EMCOR Facilities Services has an immediate opening for a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician in Bethesda, MD (2:00pm – 10:30pm Tuesday – Saturday). The Technician will report daily to the EMCOR 2nd shift Lead and support them to provide quality workmanship in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. The Maintenance Technician II will be responsible for the general facility maintenance needs at the facility and perform general maintenance of equipment as required. A qualified applicant is a US Citizen who possess a valid driver’s license and has at least 4 years’ experience in facilities maintenance. They will be able to deal with a wide range of general services. They must be professional, exhibit an ownership attitude while providing excellent customer service and communicating with skill. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Abides by all safety guidelines including OSHA regulations, lock-out/tag-out, etc. Competently maintains, troubleshoots, and performs substantial equipment repairs. Works independently, and as part of the facilities maintenance team to: Repair Walls, Floors, Doors and any painting and touch up work for beautification of facility. Repair and unclog toilets, urinals, replace and maintain valve assemblies and repair/maintain sensors for automatic flush kits, as well as all other plumbing related to the facility. Responsible for operation, maintenance and repair of air handling equipment at this facility such as vent fans and circulation fans. Preforms preventative maintenance, including the diagnosis of malfunctioning apparatus and/or systems, such as general repairs, minor plumbing, carpentry and electrical needs such as light, receptacles, ballast and controls, HVAC equipment. Monitors the building automation computer system to ensure equipment is running and the building temperature conditions are in range. Communicates effectively with coworkers and customer staff; assuring that all aspects of a work request are understood. This includes ensuring the customer is adequately informed about work status and expected completion dates. May manage maintenance projects, including complex equipment repair, communicating effectively with Site Lead and coordinating with Sub-Contractors of facilities services. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the Site Manager Qualifications: 4 years’ experience and/or training including the application of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry skills/concepts required.
