Job Title : Industrial Maintenance Supervisor Location: Oak Park, WI 53154 Shift : : 3rd Shift (10pm-6am) with ability to work every other Saturday Salary Range : $105k-$120k Depending On Experience Industry : food products manufacturing PrideNow is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Supervisor This is a direct hire, exempt position with our food manufacturing client in Oak Park, WI 53154 . The ideal candidate will have a background in food manufacturing. Relocation available to eligible applicants. Job Overview: The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor plays a key role in developing the maintenance team’s ownership, skills, and execution of Standard Maintenance Practices, the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and Process Control. This position is focused on empowering the team to take accountability for company goals, business performance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Additionally, the Supervisor serves as the primary resource, point of contact, and decision-maker for maintenance issues. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS): Manage the team while also performing hands-on tasks (as needed)on state-of-the-art industrial equipment, as well as facilities maintenance. Ensure regulatory compliance re: health & safety, quality, HR, and environmental standards. Improve reliability of production lines & ensuring machinery downtimes are reduced. Support building the maintenance team’s technical & functional capabilities. Lead and support the strategic performance development of the maintenance team to continually improve maintenance strategies and equipment efficiencies. Oversee preventive, predictive maintenance, MRO Inventory control and planning. Support teamwork between maintenance and other departments. Actively participates in the daily production meetings a key component of the operating team. Manage the employee experience: safety, performance, enforcement of company policies, resolution of team/personnel issues, time & attendance etc. Other duties as assigned. COMPETENCIES: Experience in a supervisory capacity in an industrial environment with knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance. Strong planning skills to manage shift operations. Proactive mind-set and flexibility are important as well as the ability to work under just-in-time pressures. Ability to take control of situations and follow them through to a successful end-result. Excellent organizational and time management skill. Solid problem solving and decision-making skills, sense of urgency, attention to detail,ability to execute multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. A positive, “can do” attitude. SUPERVISORYRESPONSIBILITY: This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for performance management and hiring of the employees within that department. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: This position usually requires minimum an Associate’s degree in a related field. 5 years of industrial maintenance and supervisory experience. Available for weekend and off-shift hours. Attention to detail and effective follow-through. Outstanding, verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills. Strong computer and administrative skills (MS Office, CMMS, payroll system etc.) CONSIDERED A PLUS: Knowledge of food manufacturing industry a plus and regulation inspection procedures is highly desired. Background working with outside vendors and contractors. State license in a related maintenance field. Experience in project management. WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, heat and extreme cold, and food allergens. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. An office space: working on a computer, telephone, desk, and chair as needed to complete administrative tasks. Enter and work within temperature-controlled environments of -10 to 85 degrees. Some assignments may involve exposure to noise, chemicals, biohazards, and various forms of radiation. Some assignments could be extremely dangerous in the event of dizziness, loss of consciousness, or loss of balance. Working conditions are normal for a food manufacturing plant. Food safety practices are followed and upheld to the full extent. Work will involve lifting of raw materials, finished cases of bread, and ingredients. All employees will be required to wear a slip resistant safety steel toe shoe. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
