About LOVB: (League One Volleyball)
League One Volleyball (LOVB, pronounced "love") is reimagining the sport of volleyball. Launched in 2020, our company is a mission-led sports performance, development and professional league that seeks to empower new generations of women athletes.
It is a groundbreaking time for volleyball and women's sports as we celebrate USA's Olympic success and LOVB's recognition as one of LinkedIn's Top 50 Startups of 2024. There are 38M current and former players today. Of major sports, it's the only one that is women-first (~90% of players are women). But the volleyball market has been almost entirely missed by traditional sports investors, brands, and media.
LOVB is capturing this opportunity. Today, we have created the largest youth club business in the country and are creating the next major American sports league. This community-up approach will drive participation and fandom, while enabling greater empowerment for girls and young women living this amazing sport. In this role, you will join a mission-driven, roll-up-your-sleeves team of innovators and builders who have come together to change the paradigm of professional volleyball and women's sport.
The Role:
LOVB seeks to add a highly motivated sales individual to our
Partnership/Sponsorships
department, located in
Omaha . As the Account Manager Partnerships and Sponsorships, you will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities specific to local market partnerships in
Omaha . Creativity is a must when developing these opportunities, looking beyond traditional sales sponsorships and more toward unique business relationships that are mutually beneficial.
This role will report to the Head of Partnerships, located in Florida.
Responsibilities:• Use all available platforms, such as local Omaha industry events, professional networks, and others to prospect new business opportunities and meet revenue targets. regularly.• Stay informed of industry changes in Omaha and share local market intelligence internally; maintain a working knowledge of current partnership offerings.• Actively participate in team meetings, while accurately communicating quarterly revenue pacing.• Communicate quarterly client progress to the Head of Partnerships.• Attend weekly sales meetings both internally and externally regarding partnerships.• Complete tasks such as posting, monthly forecasting, reporting, and tracking of new business prospects with the partnerships team.• Aggressively develop strong local business relationships with all buyers, media planners, and brand managers in Omaha.• Work with the internal partnership activations teams to prospect and deliver unique partnerships.• Coordination with the entities inside of the partnerships team to create and deliver value.• Maintaining account maintenance in a CRM (Hubspot).• Ensuring accurate reporting for management transparency,• Creatively delivering attractive packages to key accounts and finding a way to yes,•
Ability to generate new business and provide top levels of customer service to secured client relationships in Omaha.
Qualification and Requirements:•
Previous sports business development sales experience, with an established portfolio of local clients of $100K+/client.• Broadcast, streaming, radio and digital savvy experience with the ability to communicate partnership packages effectively and enthusiastically.•
Experience and relationships with companies in Omaha.• B.A. in a related field and 3+ years sales and business development experience with a sports organization.• Knowledge of volleyball preferred and previous experience with sports teams and marketing/partnerships strongly desired.• Exceptional communication skills. Good google slides and sheets skills required. Familiarity with CRM (Hubspot) desired.• Ability to travel extensively as needed within the market.• Strong team player.• Ability to accurately identify and assess opportunities and apply resources. and strategies appropriately.• Excellent knowledge of ad campaign metrics and analysis.• Strong ability to collaborate with a team.• Professional maturity, integrity, discipline, and a positive attitude.• Exceptional communication skills.• Exceptional presentation skills - creation and delivery.• Ability to effectively manage the successful execution of a sales strategy.• Excellent negotiation skills.
