General Information:
James Madison University Athletics, a Division I member of the NCAA and Sun Belt, is seeking an Assistant Director of Compliance which will be the person primarily responsible for monitoring and assisting in financial aid and awards and benefits for intercollegiate athletics.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to: Monitoring financial aid for all 18 Division I sports programs. This position will serve as a liaison to the University Business Office, Financial Aid Office, Card Services, and Bookstore. Maintain accurate squad lists and work with coaches on financial aid projections. Coordinate the distribution and renewals of financial aid agreements while also communicating any cancellations or reductions to the financial aid office. Create and develop policies and procedures specific to financial aid. Monitor awards and benefits and track participation (seasons of competition). Assist with on campus recruiting activities and the coordination and logistics of meetings conducted by the compliance office.
Qualifications:
Required:
Fluency working in a Windows-based environment using Microsoft Office, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and TeamsAttention to detail is required with a preference for candidates that have experience with data entryDemonstrated ability to function in a complex and constantly changing environmentAbility to independently review and interpret NCAA rules to determine the best course of action JMU can take to remain in compliance
