Job Purpose:

The Director of Human Resources will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the company. The role will encompass talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, compensation and managing the day-to-day operations across all aspects of the HR function.

Essential Functions:Develop and execute against an HR strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and drives long-term employee retention and growth as an HR team of 1 initially.Manage and perform daily tasks across talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation, including payroll.Lead the creation and standardization of HR policies and processes that promote consistency, compliance, and a high-performance culture across multiple states and regions.Oversee full-cycle recruitment with a focus on not only attracting but also retaining high-caliber talent to support the company's growth.Develop and implement effective onboarding programs that set employees up for success from day one and promote long-term retention.Build and implement professional development programs such as creating and maintaining career development pathways, ensuring clear progression opportunities for employees at all levels.Develop innovative strategies for employee recognition and rewards such as designing and launching employee engagement surveys, and programs to regularly assess satisfaction and identify areas for improvement that enhance morale and reduce turnover.Lead the design, implementation, and administration of employee benefit programs, including health, retirement, and wellness initiatives that differentiate the company as an employer of choice.Foster a positive employee relations environment, serving as a resource for resolving employee conflicts and maintaining a high level of employee morale.Ensure all HR practices are compliant with local, state, and federal laws, especially as the company expands into new markets.Regularly track and report on HR metrics such as turnover, employee satisfaction, and engagement to inform decision-making and HR strategy adjustments.

Secondary Functions:

Performs other duties as required and assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience in a high-growth environment, particularly in expanding into new markets.In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices, especially in multi-state operations.Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives and drive organizational change.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Experience with HRIS systems and data analytics.Excellent communications skills

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role or business partner role highly preferred.Prior experience and expertise in at least one of the following areas required: employee relations, HR compliance, talent acquisition, and/or performance management.SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to:

Travel up to 5% to sites beyond the corporate office.Indomitable work ethic and the willingness to work additional hours as needed.Perform light work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.See, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.Able to operate standard office/computer equipment.
