We are seeking a proactive and experienced Technical & Quality Manager for a leading food company in the Skokie area. This role is crucial in maintaining and enhancing the quality of their products. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the highest of standards are met while mitigating risk and ensuring compliance.
Responsibilities include:
Support product development projects including all related studies, benchmarking
Act as the point-of-contact for FDA audits and site audits, maintain audit-readiness for FSVP/FSMA
Ensure all relevant documentation is available and current
Support product claims, certifications and compliance
Analyze and report on customer complaints, involving all necessary parties
Investigate and support root-cause analysis for product quality issues/concerns, working closely with the laboratory when needed
Requirements:
Undergraduate degree required
4-6 years of relevant experience in a food manufacturing environment
Experience with HACCP, BRC, FSVP, FSMA, supplier audits, customer audits, and quality management
Strong knowledge in Microbiology and Food Safety
Proactive driver of high standards and agile problem solver
Pay Details:
$80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
