TransDigm has nearly 50 independent operating units across the globe.

Job Summary

Responsible for Sales and Marketing activities within a designated territory/region, account assignment, and/or market segment including the development of business and strategic planning, customer/program development, representative/distribution management and agreements, customer pricing agreements, customer proposal development, profitability of orders and backlog, forecasts of anticipated business levels for bookings and sales by operating unit and market segment and customer needs.

Primary Responsibilities

Grow our business by increasing current products sales to existing and new customers as well as growing our product base by bringing in new, profitable business opportunities.Manage productive customer relationships and visits, contract negotiations, and direct selling.Develop new application opportunities working with customers' technical and procurement personnel on active and future programs.Manage the activities within a defined area of responsibility which includes customer / program development, bookings / sales forecast, and strategic planning.Take an active role in pricing and proposal recommendations including strategic rationale. Work with the team to prepare business cases for profitable new business.Provide input and analysis associated with new product development and market forecasting.Maintain awareness of competitive strategic activities and keep the team informed.Remain current on industry events affecting primary customers and competition.Employ creative problem-solving techniques and counseling methods in resolving issues with fairness, equity and consistency.Prepare and make presentations to customers and company management.Develop and manage our representative / distribution network.Provide new product recommendations and market information.Develop business plans to support growth objectives and company strategies.Develop industry trade exhibit material and advertising materials.Special projects as assignedMaintain the highest ethical standards even when challenged.Qualifications

4-year college degree required preferably in Business or Engineering. MBA desirable but not required.5 - 7 years of business management experience5 - 7 years of sales and marketing experience in the aerospace industry

Pay Range:

$140,000 - $155,000 per year
