Description
The Construction Field Coordinator is responsible for residential and commercial Hybrid.
Fiber Coaxial (HFC) construction projects and Fiber to the Unit (FTTU) builds.
Key ResponsibilitiesWork with your team and vendors to develop plans for each network build including designs, BOMs, budgets and contractor selection.Set standards for construction and work with your team to do quality control checks on each project at regular intervals to ensure compliance with standards.Meet with homeowner associations, businesses, and local governments to review the construction process and to address questions and concerns.Validate current plan designs.Gather relevant information regarding scope of work, costs related to Residential.Subdivision and MDU Builds, small line extensions, cable replacements, and forced relocations.Track and approve daily production while managing the as built and invoicing process.Coordinate basic construction projects through contract labor for building, repairing, and maintaining HFC.Ensure quality of work performed meets established technical standards and company policies.adhere to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable.Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.Coordinate basic construction projects for building, repairing, and maintaining HFC.Coordinate with engineers and developers in designing the plant by performing site surveys of as-built and proposed projects and complete associated red-line documentation.Complete bill of materials, cost estimates and order materials needed on approved planned construction for line extensions, rebuilds, reworks, or other projects.Ensure map databases are updated with any system changes per company design specifications.Prepare system maps and/or print packages for distribution.Perform construction inspections for quality control in accordance with Technical Quality Assurance (TQA) standards.Coordinate permitting and make ready process.Respond to customer concerns.Communicate with leadership regarding concerns about construction progress.Job Benefits
4 years of network construction management experience in the fiber optic or cable TV industryExperience working across departments to foster strong working relationships between teams.Knowledge of Fiber and Coaxial network construction techniquesKnowledge of underground and aerial network constructionAbility to prioritize and organize effectively.Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks.Ability to manage emergencies and rapidly changing priorities, and to effectively direct the work activities of others under all work conditions.Ability to supervise and motivate others.Familiarity and compliance with safety standardsAbility to work independently.Ability to read general to complex system layouts from blueprints.Knowledge of basic mathematics and electronicsKnowledge of National Electric Code and National Electrical Safety Code
