Position Summary:

The Director of IT Infrastructure is searching for an Associate Systems Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of public, private, and hybrid cloud services across a multi-site & virtual data centers. The Associate Systems Administrator will work within a team that provides public and private infrastructure to the Perforce global organization. In partnership with development teams, and business stakeholders, the Associate Systems Administrator will execute infrastructure enhancements, cost management, standardization, aid in troubleshooting efforts including coordinating disparate vendors/providers, monitor the health of infrastructure, and ensure the capacity demands are met in the most reliable and cost-effective fashion possible.

Responsibilities:

Availability to work for up to 40 hours a week in our colocation facility (Brooklyn Park, MN 55443 area) or other remote locations to perform job related tasksMust be able to lift 50-100 pounds.Monitoring the physical conditions of servers and other IT infrastructure on a regular basisHands-on operations for network cabling, racking servers and other equipment as neededManages and updates colocation asset lists, aiding in hardware lifecycle visibility and decision makingMonitors, implements and maintains the enterprise colocation solution, as well as disaster recovery testing and validationDelivers hardware and software updates on a routine cadence, coordinating outages with team members and stakeholdersImplements operational and security policies and procedures throughout service delivery lifecycleAcquires, installs, builds, modifies, and supports operating system templates/containers and application stacksUnderstands interrelationship of infrastructure components and applicationsIsolate, coordinate and resolve performance problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software diagnostic testing tools and techniquesAutomates tasks for speed and consistency. Works with and extends configuration management toolsCreate proper documentation of current and new solutions to ensure repeatable Run operationsRequirements:

Monitoring experience with software as and Nagios, Prometheus + Grafana or other solutions.Excellent verbal and written communicatorUnderstanding of common Agile project management conceptsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong interpersonal skills - must be able to work effectively as part of a project/program team and foster team cooperation
