The Technical Trainer Specialist will perform a variety of tasks required to plan, develop and implement technical training curriculums to use in educating CLARK's dealership personnel, sales team, customers & employees on CLARK products & their functions. Obtains information needed to prepare training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
This position will be located ONSITE in the Flower Mound, TX location and may require periodical travel for dealer and customer training.
Essential Functions:
Develops a training curriculum to deliver consistent technical information on CLARK products. Coordination, assembly and instruction of quality training courses including all presentation media, handouts, labs, training calendars, testing, and assessment of abilities. Provide technical training to dealers, customers, and employees that enhances their knowledge of CLARK products, how to conduct accurate troubleshooting, provides hands on, one on one training as well as product functions and operations. Will assist as needed with new equipment and various service training schools Will assist with Dealer technical inquires Will be required to travel to dealers and end-users to assist with technical trouble shooting and to resolve issues. Spur of the moment technical training and support for new and existing dealerships including consulting, troubleshooting, explanation of product operations, explanation of testing and adjusting Develops an annual calendar of trainings Manages budget and controls expenses, effectively. Provides various reports as needed Maintains a training database Act as a liaison between the Dealership and CLARK to resolve product problems in the dealerships Minimum Job Qualifications Requirements:
Four-year college degree required Requires 1-3 years' experience as a technical trainer, preferably in a technical environment; with prior experience in designing, developing, delivering and maintaining training courses. Bi-lingual: Fluent in both English & Spanish in written and verbal communications is a plus Previous Experience in the Material Handling or Heavy Equipment Industry is a plus Requires solid understanding of adult learning principles, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong knowledge of heavy equipment, with emphasis on overall systems (engines, power trains, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, electronics, steering, braking, undercarriage) and how to convey that information to others. Proficient troubleshooter Strong mechanical, communication and organizational skills required. Experience in instructional, technical writing, and customer phone support preferred. Must be available for extensive travel to deliver training.
