We are on the lookout for an Area Manager in

Carlstadt, New Jersey,

who shares our passion for customer satisfaction and safety excellence. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and reinforcing our commitment to a secure and healthy work environment.

This is an overnight shift. Must be willing to work weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

Training and coaching a team of delivery drivers, delivery assistants and warehouse associates.Ensuring high levels of process adherence and customer service through field audits and quality reviewsMonitoring and reporting key KPIs to managementFostering a culture of workplace safety, high service levels, and productivityParticipating in budget development and oversight for the operationsMaintaining best practices, sustainable operations, and performance standardsOverseeing health and safety training and compliance with health and safety regulationsLeading team check-ins/huddles and providing updates on company policies and proceduresCo-ordinating, assigning and reviewing the work of employees engaged in shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and maintaining inventories of materials, parts and products; coordinating production work; dispatching crews; scheduling transportation crews and routes; operating vehicles; and other related activitiesOverseeing daily utilization of the local fleet, planning efficient route plans and scheduling staff accordingly each dayDelegating and participating in on-site responsibilities (packing, padding/wrapping, disassembly of furniture, etc.)Solving complex problems in real-time while keeping cross-functional leadership apprised of resultsConducting interviews with prospective team members and making hiring decisions and training workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policiesLeading team development and cultivating values in operational excellence and professionalismPlanning, organizing and overseeing operational logistics, establishing work schedules and procedures, resolving work-related issues, providing inputs into progress and other reports and co-ordinating activities with other departmentsEngaging in strategic planning and forecasting; appraising performance, resolving problems and addressing staffing needsEnsuring the smooth operation of the crew's daily activitiesRequisitioning supplies and materialsEnsuring smooth operation of vehicles, equipment and machinery and arranging for maintenance and repair workMay perform the same duties as workers supervisedQualifications:

3+ years of experience in warehousing, transportation, operations, and logisticsBachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., MBA, PMP, Six Sigma) are a plus2+ years of managerial experience in a warehouse setting with the ability to execute management directives during a time of exponential growth and to supervise a team2+ years of experience in quality control and monitoring employee productivity/quality in accordance with operating standardsPrevious experience in truck management, maintenance, and truck driving are a plusExperience in B2C/B2B deliveries and fulfillment in a large facilityExceptional time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks in order to adhere to critical business deadlinesValid driver's license and clean driving record (or the ability to obtain)High degree of technological literacy (understanding multiple applications and systemsrelated to business functions)Exceptional customer service skills and a demonstrated capacity for interfacing with large, multi-million-dollar clientsExperience with inventory management systems and stock takingExperience leading end-to-end performance management cyclesExcellent conflict resolution skills, including the ability to de-escalate/mediate conflictsProven leader in professional team developmentHighly analytical with problem-solving aptitudeStrong decision-making abilityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPunctual and reliableAbility to lift up to 75 lbsAbility to work evening hours, weekends, and holidays
